After warning Kiev earlier today, American billionaire Elon Musk confirmed that the Starlink service will never close its stations in Ukraine, regardless of his disagreement with the policy followed in Kiev.
He added in a post on “X”: “We will never do such a thing or use it as a bargaining chip.”
This came after Musk considered earlier today that he strongly challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin, when he granted the Starlink service to Ukrainian forces more than two years ago.
He wrote on “X” saying: “I literally challenged Putin through the Starlink system, which is the backbone of the Ukrainian army.”
But he warned that if it is shut down, the entire Ukrainian army’s front line will collapse, in a message apparently to pressure the Kiev authorities.
He also added that he is disgusted by the years of war and massacres, considering that Ukraine will inevitably lose if it continues on this path.
He stressed that any conscious person sees the need to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
In addition, he called for imposing sanctions on major Ukrainian businessmen, “especially those who have palaces in Monaco,” as he put it.
The Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe, announced last Wednesday that Washington had cut off intelligence information on Ukraine.
This came as US President Donald Trump sought to pressure his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, to return to the negotiating table with Moscow and reach a settlement that would end the war that has been going on since 2022 and establish peace between the two neighboring countries.
It also came after tensions in relations between the two presidents since the stormy meeting at the White House on February 28, when Trump rebuked his Ukrainian guest, accusing him of seeking to ignite World War III, before the tension subsided after Zelensky expressed.
